Sarah Christie (she/her/hers) is an advocate for people, our planet, and animals, with a decade of experience in the radio broadcast industry. Since graduating from the Broadcasting for Radio, Film & Television program at Niagara College, she has worked at stations in Niagara Falls, St. Catharines, Winnipeg, Kitchener and Toronto!

After learning how urgent our climate crisis is, Sarah wanted to take action. In 2021, she combined her love of meeting new people and broadcast background and created the eco-conscious interview series Earth Care!

The Earth Care Podcast is a short form interview series that is 100% for the environment. The name is an extension of “self-care” because ultimately we can’t live a healthy life without a healthy planet. All interviews are bite-sized and feature new climate experts with their take on how we can save the planet

In 2022, Sarah completed the Sustainability Reporting Course through the University of Toronto. This course focused on the various aspects of sustainability, the information required in a sustainability report and how to thoroughly dissect it. Once the course is completed, students are trained to critically recognize greenwashing versus true sustainable initiatives.

Sarah also completed the assessor training certificate program for A Greener Festival through Falmouth University. This program focused on understanding the environmental impact of events from an operational side and developed the skills and knowledge to apply an environmental assessment for the operation.
